I've been a bit busy over the weekends with my head stuck in VR and Tuesdays have disappeared to a meeting and a demo, so I've gone back into the backlog to keep the blog going.
Bunkfest Bubbles
This one was painted last year with the shameful intention of gaining votes in the exhibition. Yes, I can be that cynical. Kids popping bubbles at Bunkfest? What can go wrong? Here's its shout.
It's more than staying in touch. It's the images in the head (scarier than intended, but true). I paint a mixture of ideas from: photos, books, songs, stuff I've written, whatever gets stuck looking for a home as daubs on paper. So I'm known in the art group for painting from the imagination. I need the easiest medium for doing that... oils. Oils are difficult to transport so I use acrylics at the art club. I still use photographs if challenging with a good composition... anything that’s new.
